I have always been able to explain concepts very well and to work productively with different kinds of learners, including students with learning disabilities and Asberger’s Disorder. My B.A. from Ohio Wesleyan is in German and vocal music, and I have tutored elementary and middle school students in both of those subjects while in college. My voice students received help with songs for school plays and talent shows, and my middle school German student completed most of a high school curriculum under my supervision. Though my academic schedule at Ohio Wesleyan did not allow a minor in Spanish, I speak and write proficient Spanish and have aced several upper level Spanish courses. My best qualification as an academic tutor is my little sister, eleven years my junior, whom I have helped through many math, science and reading sessions at our kitchen table.
